About Us
Who We Are
The Institute for Biblical Research and Oriental Studies Inc. aka IBROS is a 501(c)3 non profit corporation, founded in 2008. We exist to serve as a vehicle — carrying serious students of the Word along a journey toward deeper, truer biblical understanding.
Our Purpose
The road to scriptural truth is not always clearly marked. Over centuries, detours have been introduced — through human philosophy, mythology, mistranslation, and cultural assumptions that have little to do with the world in which Scripture was written. Many travelers on this road don’t realize they’ve been rerouted.
IBROS was established to change that. We tunnel through the mountains of misunderstanding, clear the roadblocks of error, and build a direct bridge between the ancient world and the modern believer — so that every student can find their way to a straight path and walk confidently with God toward their divine destiny.
How We Make the Journey
We provide a structured, step-by-step road map for biblical study, giving instruction in:
- Ancient manuscripts and related writings
- Non-Occidental customs, mannerisms, and culture
- Figures of speech and idioms used in ancient Scripture
- Aramaic and Koine Greek
- Archaeological evidence
Why This Matters
Too many people seeking God are traveling with an incomplete or inaccurate map. Without proper instruction in the original languages, Eastern culture, and ancient context, the full scope of God’s work — and the significance of His anointed Son, Jesus our Lord — cannot be rightly known, applied, or understood.
How can one fulfill the great commandment to live by every word of God, as given through Moses in Deuteronomy and confirmed by Jesus in Luke, if the words themselves have been misread — or if the road signs have been pointing in the wrong direction?
And how much greater is the danger when those misdirections are taught as doctrine to others who are sincerely seeking the way?
Additionally, how handicapped would a person be if the very foundation of his or her own rights and power in the Lord is not correctly known or understood, and how greatly might that error be compounded if that error is taught as doctrine to others who sincerely seek the knowledge of God?
Our Objective
To illuminate the Scriptures by recovering knowledge that has been overlooked or left behind — knowledge still carried by Eastern scholars who continue to speak and practice the languages of the ancient world.
To remove the obstructions: the modern dogmas, translation errors, and preconceived interpretations that are incongruent with the original text — the detours that have led so many sincere travelers away from the Truth.
To follow the road of understanding as it was originally laid out in the Scriptures — and to help others do the same.
Our Mission
We recognize the great need for biblical accuracy and the absolute requirement to research and test every perception and understanding of God’s inerrant Word as it was given to His prophets.
It is our deepest desire to equip every traveler — layperson and ordained minister alike — with the tools, methods, and principles of research needed to arrive at truth. Not just to be told where the road leads, but to know how to read the map for themselves.
